The Advanced Manufacturing and Industry Training programs at BCS are helping clients stay up-to-date with constantly evolving industry technologies and processes. These programs supported by decades of research, experience and testing provide technical assistance, hands-on learning and training focused on the most efficient and effective methods.

Metal Casting Center and Additive Manufacturing Center
The Metal Casting Center and Additive Manufacturing Center are nationally recognized leaders in foundry research, additive manufacturing, applied technology and technical assistance. Both Center provide hands-on experience and training to students giving them the opportunity to work at innovative facilities with modern casting technology. Past clients have included small and large companies alike, as well as all five branches of the U.S. Department of Defense.

Iowa Waste Reduction Center
The IWRC Painter Training Program creates and delivers specific and customized training to increase the efficiency of painters while reducing waste from the painting and coating operations. The program's trainers have worked with small businesses and Fortune 500 companies alike within a wide array of industries including aerospace, defense, auto body, manufacturing and woodworking. Since 2003, the Spray Technique Analysis and Research for Defense (STAR4D) program has focused on training military and contract painters across the country.
